Empty Leg Flights

When a private jet needs to reposition without passengers, those seats become available at a fraction of the standard charter price. Same aircraft, same service — dramatically lower cost.

Enquire About Empty Legs

What is an Empty Leg?

When a private jet is chartered for a one-way trip, it must return to its home base — or fly to the next departure point — without passengers. These "deadhead" flights are also called empty legs or ferry flights.

To offset the cost of the repositioning flight, operators offer these legs to the market at discounts of 50–75%. You get the same aircraft, crew and service — just at a fraction of the normal price.

Empty Leg FAQ

Can I choose my exact empty leg route?
Empty legs are positioned by the operator — meaning the route and date are fixed. You cannot change the departure point, destination or schedule. They work best for flexible travellers willing to plan around available flights.
How do I find out about available empty legs?
Register your preferred routes and dates via our request form. Our broker will alert you directly by email or phone when a matching empty leg becomes available — typically 24–72 hours before the flight.
Are empty leg flights safe?
Yes. Empty legs are operated by AOC-certified charter operators — exactly the same aircraft and crew that fly full-price charters. Safety standards are identical.
What happens if an empty leg is cancelled?
If the originating charter is cancelled or changed, the empty leg may be cancelled too. In that case you are not charged. This is the main flexibility trade-off compared to a standard charter.
What is the minimum notice for an empty leg?
Most empty legs are available with 24–72 hours notice. Occasionally there are opportunities with longer lead times — especially around major events.
